Adaptive Athletics March 2024 update

In 2023, we have worked with over 100 participants from the age of 6 years to over 50 years.

We have run sessions and competitions for those with a wide range of disability – physical, intellectual, deaf and blind.

Our approach to Adaptive and Para-Athletics is to “respect the individual and adapt the activities”.

Tomorrow we are taking our biggest team in 3 years of U13 and U15 athletes (48 athletes) to Newport for the first match in the LYDL Midland Premier. A very big thank you to all those who are coming to support our club. We also have a full team of officials which is great news. Many new athletes are competing in this league for the first time having come up from the U11s/Quad Kids or are new to our club. This is all looking good for the future of Yate & District AC. Best wishes to everyone. It's going to be a tough one, as we are competing against the best clubs in Wales, plus Swindon and Cheltenham, who have large junior sections in their clubs.
